Rot13 Tool

Some ROT13 Basics

To learn more about ROT13, see the Wikipedia Entry.

The above tool currently supports six modes. Mode #1 (Rot13+5) is considered the standard for uses of Rot13 on my page. Others will vary.

  1. Rot13+5. Runs Rot13 on letters and Rot5 on numbers. Ignores case of letters.
  2. Rot13: Runs Rot13 on letters. Ignores case of letters.
  3. Rot5: Runs Rot5 on numbers.
  4. Rot16: Runs Rot16 on the 32 basic non-letter/number/space characters of the ASCII set.
  5. Rot13+5+16: Runs Rot13 on letters (ignoring case), Rot5 on numbers, Rot16 on other characters.
  6. Rot47: Runs Rot47 on the basic ASCII character set (minus the space) in order (unlike #5, which treats them as separate entity types), therefore does not ignore case of letters.
