Centipede Press to publish Masters of the Weird Tale: Ramsey Campbell!

Spotted this right off in the recent Centipede Press newsletter:

We are working on a Ramsey Campbell entry for the Masters of the Weird Tale series. This can either be done as one very large book in a slipcase, or two books of around 650 pages, also in a slipcase. The size and format would be the same as the other titles in this series. What would you like to see? Also, Ramsey and I have come up with a list of contents, and this will for sure probably include all of the classic stories you might be thinking of, but if you have suggestions, please be sure and send them along!

That's pretty exciting. Many of Centipede's Masters of the Weird Tale series sell out before I can get a copy (they tend to be expensive short runs) but I've picked up a few, usually by taking advantage of pre-order sales. In this case, it might go the way of the Karl Edward Wagner one (sold out before I was half aware it was there) so I am going to start putting money aside for it now, so I can get it as soon as it pops.

As for the story selection, I'm game for whatever. Presumably it won't just be a repeat of Alone With the Horrors [not only has that been done, but there have been a few more collections of stories since then and a few things that I do not thing have been collected under his name but which I've spotted in recent-ish horror anthologies]. My primary votes, which are nearly all from Dark Companions, are "The Brood", "Patterns", "The Companion", "Mackintosh Willy", and "Down There". "Cold Print" ends oddly, but begins really well. I'm actually not that up-to-date (or am behind-the-times, whichever works best) on his earlier mythos-styled stuff. I need to read Cold Print (the collection, not the short story, though you could form a perfectly Campbellian sentence by pointing out that one involves the other).
