Summary: Barnes and Noble released an error filled copy of the complete Lovecraft a couple of years ago. I blogged about it last year. However, the current version has fixed the errors and should be considered a good go-to book.

BLOT: (30 Jan 2012 - 10:38:15 PM)
Back in March of last year, I blogged about the many, many errors of Barnes and Noble's Lovecraft "The Fiction". Since then, that post has picked up a few hundred views and shown up on a few different message boards. I just wanted to say that the fancy, sort of bas reliefed version [aka the "new" version, aka "The Complete Fiction" instead of "Lovecraft, Complete and Unabridged, the Fiction", aka the one with the inchoate primoridal chaos instead of the one with the pull away dustjacket with a calculus textbook's cover, aka the one pictured below, aka click the picture to go to the official product page] has had the errors corrected. With those fixed and no new ones found as of yet, I quite recommend this version if you need a cheap, one-stop shop to get a Lovecraft library insta-built.
Apologies for not posting this for so long [I've had my copy since about November and took a week or two to verify] but wanted to point that out. Also, wanted to send out a thanks to Harold McNeill who emailed me back in September to let me know of the fixes. A belated apology to him as well for not more rapidly crediting him with the point-out and getting this up sooner.
