Summary: My wife loves to pop out her photograph smile. In these photos she doesn't. One she didn't realize she was being photographed, in the other, it was a surprise.

BLOT: (22 Aug 2011 - 02:02:34 PM)
Many of the photos of my wife is her using what can only be called her photograph smile. While I have never developed such a thing, I think a lot of people do use them, and that's ok. The smile you whip out when a photograph is being taken, some pre-approved arrangement of face, teeth, and muscles that you feel shows off an appropriate you-ness to the future generations who will stumble upon your Facebook page and wonder what the archeological treasures inside really mean.
The first of these two pictures occurred only yesterday, and was me popping around the corner and taking her picture. It should also count as a "test run" of the face she is going to use when a serial killer shows up in our home one day. The second is a few weeks back and makes me wish Hardley Surton's "Babes with Books Blog" was still about, because I would submit it like *snaps* that.
